2MW Emergency Generator Client:   Automotive Parts Manufacturer Project: Provided design services for the installation of a 2 Mega Watt 480VAC, diesel generator at an industrial facility. The design incorporated connection to an existing 3,000A soft-transfer switch. The purpose of the generator was to provide an emergency backup power source in the event of a utility power failure and service as a peak shaving unit during peak demands. A soft-transfer switch will allow for the transfer between the electrical utility company and a future generator without any interruption of power to the load.
