ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

The East Group has an immediate need for an Architectural Designer with 3+ years of experience to work in our Greenville, NC office.  Project focus areas will mainly be on Industrial markets.  The position will present the opportunity to work on a variety of projects both in scale and type.  Candidates must possess good communication and organization skills and be able to work well in a team environment.  A successful candidate will be given the opportunity to grow and progress in their career.  Essential qualifications and job responsibilities will include:

• Be self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team environment.

• Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communications skills.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and preferable knowledge of Revit and SketchUp.

• Ability to produce clear, accurate construction documents in an organized and efficient manner under supervision of a project Architect.

• Knowledge of architectural design, documentation, detailing, building material characteristics and compatibility, codes, construction techniques, etc.

• Knowledge of integration of architectural components with site, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.

• Be able to collaborate and coordinate with other East Group engineering disciplines and offices to deliver projects in an accurate and timely manner.

• Utilize organizational skills to prioritize tasks.

• Travel to job sites to investigate and document existing conditions.

• Verify that designs meet code and accessibility requirements.

• Assist in construction phase services which may include project observation, reporting, and shop drawing review.

Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience..
