Senior Civil Engineer

The East Group is seeking a skilled and collaborative Senior Civil Engineer to join our Land Planning & Infrastructure Team in either our Greenville or Raleigh, NC office. This full-time role is ideal for someone with 10+ years of experience who is passionate about thoughtful design, enjoys building relationships, and thrives in a multidisciplinary environment.

About the Role

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you’ll be a key leader on projects that shape the future of our communities—including healthcare and industrial sites, municipal infrastructure, large-scale developments, parks, and higher education campuses. You’ll lead project teams, guide clients through complex processes, and help mentor the next generation of engineers. Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients

  • Collaborate with clients to define goals, site constraints, and design parameters

  • Lead the design or oversight of civil site and infrastructure projects from concept through construction

  • Prepare and oversee permitting packages, construction documents, and specifications

  • Review codes and regulations to ensure compliance and project success

  • Manage schedules, scopes, budgets, and project teams across disciplines

  • Support business development efforts through proposals and presentations

  • Provide construction administration support as needed

  • Mentor junior staff and help foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in civil/site design and land development

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited program

  • PE license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain quickly)

  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills

  • Familiarity with Civil 3D (experience with Revit a plus)

  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset and commitment to continuous learning
