Senior Civil Engineer
The East Group is seeking a skilled and collaborative Senior Civil Engineer to join our Land Planning & Infrastructure Team in either our Greenville or Raleigh, NC office. This full-time role is ideal for someone with 10+ years of experience who is passionate about thoughtful design, enjoys building relationships, and thrives in a multidisciplinary environment.

About the Role
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you’ll be a key leader on projects that shape the future of our communities—including healthcare and industrial sites, municipal infrastructure, large-scale developments, parks, and higher education campuses. You’ll lead project teams, guide clients through complex processes, and help mentor the next generation of engineers. Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients
Collaborate with clients to define goals, site constraints, and design parameters
Lead the design or oversight of civil site and infrastructure projects from concept through construction
Prepare and oversee permitting packages, construction documents, and specifications
Review codes and regulations to ensure compliance and project success
Manage schedules, scopes, budgets, and project teams across disciplines
Support business development efforts through proposals and presentations
Provide construction administration support as needed
Mentor junior staff and help foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration
What You Bring
10+ years of experience in civil/site design and land development
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
PE license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain quickly)
Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
Familiarity with Civil 3D (experience with Revit a plus)
A proactive, team-oriented mindset and commitment to continuous learning
