The East Group provided planning, landscape architecture, and engineering services for the Welcome Center, Playground, and Beach Improvements at Wildwood Park, a 100+ acre recreational destination developed by the City of Greenville.

The Welcome Center serves as a gateway to the park and includes public restrooms, staff office space, storage, and a large open-air canopy oriented toward views of the lake. A nature-themed playground was integrated into the site design, creating a family-focused destination that complements the park’s natural setting.

In a separate phase, our team addressed ongoing shoreline erosion at the public beach through the design of terraced lawn and shoreline improvements. The solution enhances long-term resilience while creating a more accessible and inviting waterfront experience with improved seating, gathering, and recreational opportunities.
